History

The District was organized, created and established pursuant to an order of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, dated February 19, 2002 and was originally named Fort Bend –Waller Counties Municipal Utility District No. 1. The District operates in accordance with the Texas Water Code, Chapters 49 and 54, as amended. The District contains approximately 291 acres. The District, in its role as Master District, serves as the regional provider of water, sewer, and drainage facilities for the Service Area, which contains approximately 1,390.69 acres. The Master District Service Area is comprised of the District, Fort Bend County MUD No. 198 and Fort Bend County MUD No. 195, which contain the developments of Cross Creek West and Summerview. The Service Area is located in Fort Bend County, approximately 35 miles from the central business district of Houston. The Service Area lies within the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District and is located entirely within the ETJ of the City of Fulshear.
